Toxic Stress: And the 21st Century Blues

Over 30 years ago, in 1978, Dr Vernon Coleman wrote the first popular book on stress.

Years later (in 1991) he realised that much of the stress to which we are exposed is part of our modern society - and cannot be managed with the usual stress control techniques. He invented the phrase 'toxic stress' to define this type of stress. He wrote 'Toxic Stress' to explain just how and why 'toxic stress' makes us ill and how it is different to ordinary stress. Toxic stress causes or exacerbates 90 per cent of all illness. This revised and updated edition shows how you can deal with it.
